Since 2004, Galen Group has designed and manufactured heavy equipment attachments in Ankara, Türkiye. Dragline buckets are one of our core project-based product lines. Each one is built for the machine it will work on, the material it will move and the conditions of the site.

Dragline work is hard on steel. The bucket is dragged, hoisted, swung and dumped thousands of times, often in abrasive sand, gravel, clay, rock or underwater. A bucket that is too heavy wastes the machine's lifting capacity. One that is too light wears out quickly. Our engineering team balances weight, strength and wear protection so our buckets deliver the most material per cycle over their service life.

How We Build Our Dragline Buckets

Engineered for each machine

Bucket capacity, shape and weight are calculated from the crane's rated capacity, boom length, working radius and material density. We don't just pick a standard size.

In-house cutting and fabrication

Parts are cut on our own CNC cutting lines and fabricated in our project-based production facility. This gives us full control over quality and lead times. We process approximately 2,000 tons of steel every year.

​

Wear-resistant steel from our own stock

We keep a high-tonnage stock of wear plate. Critical areas such as the lip, floor, side walls and arch get the protection they need, and we can start production without waiting on material.

Complete rigging-ready assemblies

On request, buckets can be supplied with the arch, teeth and adapters, drag and hoist chains, spreader bar and dump block, ready to install.

New buckets, rebuilds and custom designs

We manufacture new dragline buckets, rebuild worn ones and develop custom designs for special applications.
